Skateboard Tape Grips
Constable Schmitty lines up at the range for his annual qualification shoot. His palms are sweaty, his confidence is weak and his gun feels heavy. Some say Schmitty will fail his shoot because of his terrible technique. Some say it’s because of his poor attitude to training. Others say it’s because he doesn’t have these Skate Tape Grips.
These grips have a silicon carbide (sandpaper) finish that has an aggressive texture that stays grippy when wet. Laser cut to have a factory-like appearance, the grips also have no sharp corners, making it difficult to peel off by accident. The adhesive is strong yet easily removable, causing no damage to the firearm.
Compatible with both Gen 4 and Gen 5 Glocks, the grips are mirrored, accommodating for the Gen 5 ambidextrous slide release and reversible magazine release.
Each pack now comes with three sets of SK8 Grips as standard.
Expect about six months of grip under normal (donut eating) conditions, however, they will wear faster under harsher field conditions. The product is designed to be easily removable and replaceable as a result.
Installation Instructions
-
- Ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe to handle.
- Wipe down the application surface of the firearm with isopropyl alcohol and allow the surface to dry.
- Align the grip, ensuring it does not cover the magazine release.
- Apply firm pressure to grips and hold tightly for thirty seconds.
- For best results, apply even heat from a hair dryer or heat gun. Heat should be no more than 50°C or warm to the touch. After heating, again apply firm pressure for thirty seconds.
